Salted nut roll

Ahh! I knew I might get Kristi's attention here. Dawn told me last night on our walk that John used to work at Pearsons. First of all.....LUCKY! She said you guys used to get FRESH nut rolls on Fridays or something. YUM! Don't cha miss it? I was wondering if anyone had a great recipe for salted nut rolls? Dawn said she thought she knew someone who did but she couldn't remeber who it was? Anyone? Bueller? Fry?

OK, here is mine, step-by-step:
1. Hold bar in left hand
2. Tear bar wrapper open with right hand
3. Slide bar into mouth and bite down
4. Chew long and slow in order to get all the taste from the bar
5. Swallow first and then repeat process starting at step 3 until you've totally consumed the whole bar.
6. Wait at least 3.45789 minutes before beginning step 1 again with a new bar.

Regan, is this what you are looking for?

Pat. Believe me I got that down pat-no pun intended. I love to make salted nutroll malts with about 10 candy bars on free-day Sunday. Right Carla?

Hmmm...may I interject a little reality here? Luck had nothing to do with having a job at Pearson's, believe-you-me. It was a challenge to get up and be at work everyday (at 6:00 a.m.)
That being said, I feel I must mention that the ONLY way to eat a salted nut roll is RIGHT OFF THE LINE, when the carmel is still all gooey. A little chunk of heaven, right there on the conveyor belt. YUMMMMMMMMMMMMY! It's spoiled me for life - all other bars are old and stale.
But do pass on that recipe, won'tcha? :)

Reegz, are you a Body for Life girl? FreeDay Sunday can be called Salted Nut Roll Day, too!!

Yes, I was raised tin the "free day" Sunday ritual. I just have a hard day keeping it. It's like that Romans 7 passage.....what I will to do I do not do....shove it in :o)

Reegz, unfortunately, to get the freshest nut rolls you have to work at the.....place or know someone who does. I haven't had one since the.....fired my husband for no reason whatsoever. Although it was a gift from God, he was miserable there. Makes me smile to see their ads for his job in the paper about every two months.
