My Mom

My Mom
My mom has dark brown hair with blonde highlights. Her eyes are green and have a burning stare. Her mouth is perfectly shaped as well as her nose. Her chin sticks out a little. Her neck is long and her shoulders are wide. She always wears a golden necklace of our 3 baby rings. She has long arms like a monkey and long legs like a giraffe. My mom is perfect.
DUH?!

Libs takin out the blades

Me and Libs

Wilderness

We all headed to The Wilderness last Tuesday for two days of hard core exercise. The place is great but couldn't we work on getting the parks a little nearer to each other. It's exhausting enough that the parks have killer stairs and death-defying waves. Do they really have to also make you walk a mile or two each way to enjoy these things? I LOVE it but I think it can get really tiresome for the kids. Did I mention the chlorine level is at a level that must be pushing lethal? We used to stay for two nights before we knew any better. The kids can only handle the one night and the two days in the park. Can you imagine the germs in this place? Don't. It might look clean and inviting but can it really be? People always say, "Oh, chlorine kills everything." Including my children? Have you ever had cigarette smoke in your eye? That's what my eyes feel like when I'm in there and the next morning after inhaling it for a day? I sound like the Marlboro man. Does it sound like I am complaining? It's a great time-you just can't think about it. Have you ever attempted "The Great Wave?" It is so awesome and puts any workout to shame! You have no choice if you dare to go out in it to keep EVERY muscle engaged if you want to live. It is an excellent workout and I can't believe people aren't scraped off the bottom hourly. I only know a handful of people who can be out in those waves without a tube.(Kudos to you my girlz) I seriously want one in my backyard. I put a clip of it on here so you could check it out. It doesn't even do it justice at all. PLUS, you can't really get a great look at all the people fighting for their lives. OR, the interesting swimsuits, tats, piercings, and people that go there. Another interesting thing about this place is that it has a glass roof. People are actually laying out, applying sunscreens and accelerators, and actually getting burnt! It's quite an experience and a memory we are sure to remember. :o)

A goal

My husband got me a sweet, new odometer reader for my bike for Valentines Day this year. It's pretty awesome. I actually had one I got out of a cereal box for the last two years. It worked pretty good but would stop every now and then. I figure last summer I biked somewhere around 700 miles, give or take a hundred? I can't be sure because I missed some miles and I never could quite reset it either. Come on, it was 2 UPC codes and a vial of blood or something. It said Disney Parks on it and was a bit kid-like. Don't care! I am very grateful to have this new one and to have my bike all tuned up and ready to rack up the miles. I went on my first big ride of the year yesterday. I biked 12 miles and it was a beautiful 65 degrees. I also biked a few the other day. My goal is 1000 miles by end of bike season. I also told Pete I'd like to maybe challenge biking halfway to the cabin or something. Sounds painful now as the first ride of the year always leaves me with "bike-butt." Ouch. I was trying to compute how many miles/rides a month that would be. I also have a rain factor and a wind factor-both which I dislike riding in. I'll keep updating cause I KNOW you care. I am sure there's a way to have a bike reader on my blogside somewhere but I'll leave that up to my blog designer. Thanks D. :O) The new look is trippin.

Eyes

Levi and Libs were bickering one morning when I turned around and said, "Stop it!" Liberty said, "Mom, you have eyes in the back of your head." To which Levi replied, "Yeah, but she can't see out of them because she has too much hair."

Swears

Libs told me yesterday that she knew some swear words. "Really?" I said. "What are they?" (Don't you always ask your kids?) She whispered, "Cwap. Ditch. Can I say those words?" I said, "No." She said, "I know one more. Suck."
Yeah, I spelled it right. Ditch. Just keepin it extra clean people.
