The Move

My sister and her hubby (Matt) have moved to Minnesota temporarily! It's so weird to know she's just right in St.Paul. We are going over there tonight for gourmet dinner and the guys are going to be watching the basketball game. I have been trying to put my feet in Matts shoes (boots) to see what I'd think of this place if I came from the desert. Imagine the things we don't even think about in winter! Salt all over the car, mysterious snow covered yards and places yet undiscovered, frozen lakes, frozen jeans (he finds this fascinating), frozen eyelashes, ice on the roads, homeless people?-OUTSIDE?!!! They might have an inground pool in their yard come springtime-who knows? Maybe a cemetary? I picture him in his car after work freezing to death as it warms up. Hopefully the beauty of spring and the warmth of summer will help him forget what winter was like. I wonder how different our summer will feel compared to Tucson? Will he feel suffocated in greenery?! Will he miss the mountains? The javelinas and coyotes in his yard? The cacti? The Mexican border? The illegal immigrants? Oh yeah, they're all here! Adventure awaits!

Levi said to me last night, "Mom, why do you only give dad kisses on the lips?" I said, "because he's my loverboy." He said, "Gimme a kiss mom." I kissed him on the lips and he said, "Thats it? Thats what its like? Smooch me." I was like, "No! Ya weirdy!" It was so funny. I told Pete this morning and he said to Jace when he left, "Tell Levi no makin out with mom today." Tons of laughs!

Happy 8th Anniversary!

Yes, Matt and Dana are having their 8th wedding anniversary today hurray! So they had a child out of wedlock, yes. He's such a cutie though. Ha ha! Just kidding. That is their soon to be foreign exchange student! He hopefully will be spending a year abroad in Dublin, Ireland with them someday(very very soon). He looks at it as an opportunity and I look at it as relief. :O) Really though, I remember the day they got married. I was two weeks "un"-pregnant with Levi. I was an emotional wreck and never wanna see me in that huge blue dress. It was a beautiful Tucson day. I can smell the mountain air, can't you Tucson? I remember they had the most delicious wedding cake I have ever eaten. I remember dad holding Levi. I remember how beautiful Dana looked dancing with Pete! I remember the bubbles, my bubbles! Wishing you many more years of love and travels smoochers. :O)

Cowtown Ho Ho Ho Down!

I know Dana, they were taken with my Iphone and the garage lighting isn't the best so I'm sorry! Here are a picture of many of the grandchildren of Grandma Bunny and another shot of many of the great grandchildren. There are a few missing of course. Probably even some that haven't been discovered yet.....Hee hee. It was agrand ol time had by all. We had a blazing fire and delicious eats and drinks. The weather was a balmy 18 degrees I'd guess. It was fun to visit and watch all the cousins play young and old. This is one of my very favorite places to celebrate Christmas as it reminds me of Christmases long ago when dad was still with us! I love his family because you get a little piece of him in every face! Good times!

Cinderellas

From Petes mom Wendy while I was in Florida:
On Thursday evening when Levi was getting ready for bed, I asked him
what he was doing in his Mom and Dad's room. He strongly told me that
he was putting his dirty clothes in the hamper. He went on to say that
now he was like Cinderella--having to do all the work--and that the
three of them were all like Cinderellas. And now their Mom was like
the Queen and she didn't have to do anything anymore! He was so
serious that I could hardly contain myself! After 2 short days, I can
vouch for the fact that Regan is not just sitting on her royal throne
all day!

Fun!

Uncle Steven is so much fun! He came over to babysit the other night and it was pouring. He had the kids go outside with him, in their clothes, and dance in the rain! Now, moms NEVER do this kind of stuff because they find it annoying and a mess! But UNCLES, they are lotsa fun! Thanks Steven for bringing on the fun!
