Cats

Dear cat lovers,
Is it "normal" when cats go outside the box? Literally. Why? How can we stop this from occurring again?
Love,

Usually cats only go outside the box if the box is really dirty- tell Jace to get on it!

I agree--we used to have a cat that wanted the litter clean each time she wanted to use it. I was cleaning that box every day. Which is why we don't have a cat anymore...

Replace all carpet after said cat takes a walk with Unca Noser. Well, that is my plan anyway.

It can be behaviors - our oldest cat is doing it now and we've had a lot of changes in the past 2 months - new house, new baby, no sleep. Or, it can mean things like a UTI or diabetes. It's best to have them checked out just to be sure.
