Part 1 of 4 on Obama Hussein

Just a view from the other side of the coin (I came across your blog randomly but couldn’t help myself from reading further and further because of how astonished I was at your bitterness toward people who might vote differently than you). I hope you will give a moment to read through the remarks countering the inane accusations you’ve made in an earlier post. Not because I hope to change your mind, but truly because I would feel better about myself if I could help someone see the same issue from two viewpoints instead of one. I am a Catholic woman and in the last election I voted republican, so please don’t think I’m biased. Rather, I have tried my best to be informed from multiple perspectives in this election. I pray that you will think this through.

Why I'm voting Democrat:

I'm voting democrat because Barbara Walters is my idol and so is P.Diddy. –I know a lot of democratic voters. A LOT. But not one of them has ever been tempted to vote that way because of celebrity. How silly.

I'm voting Democrat because English has no place being the official language in America. –I’ve never, ever, ever seen or heard or read any evidence that democrats don’t intend Americans to use English as their main language.

I'm voting Democrat because I'd rather pay $4 for a gallon of gas than allow drilling for oil off the coasts of America.—The difference is that the taxes we pay on that gallon here in America go to making better, safer roads, etc. Preserving God’s natural gifts to us (pristine shoreline) can’t be seen as a sin.

I'm voting Democrat because I think the government will do a better job of spending my money than I could.—When some people are thriving on inflated incomes, what is the harm in using their tax money to better our wonderful country?

I'm voting Democrat because when we pull out of Afghanistan and Iraq, I know the Islamic terrorists will stop trying to kill us because they'll think we're a good and decent country.—Hopefully everyone knows a withdrawal plan would never be this un-thought-through. However, do you really take issue in having someone in charge who will THINK before they act, and possibly even turn to words before guns? Which would you rather teach your children? Why should it be different in world politics?

I'm voting Democrat because I believe people who can't tell us if it will rain in two or three days, can now tell us the polar ice caps will disappear in ten years if I don't start riding a bicycle, build a windmill or inflate my tires to proper levels. –Meteorologists tell us the weather, not global warming. The fact is that global warming is a trend that has always been around. The scientific facts show us that only in recent years has it increased so dramatically. This tells us that something is wrong.

I'm voting Democrat because it's alright to kill millions of babies as
long as we keep violent, convicted murderers on death row alive.—Prolife is prolife. How can you be for capital punishment (murder) if you’re against abortion because of the same thing (murder?) Sadly, neither one of our candidates is fully prolife.

I'm voting Democrat because I believe businesses in America should not be
allowed to make profits. Businesses should just break even and give the
rest to the government so politicians and bureaucrats can redistribute the money the way they think it should be redistributed.—This is ridiculous. It’s untrue.

I'm voting Democrat because I believe guns, and not the people misusing them, are the cause of crimes and killings. –However, it is important that people being SOLD guns be checked out to assure that we aren’t giving lethal weapons to people who are likely to misuse them. No democratic candidate is trying to take deer hunter’s rifles away. Stop focusing on the wrong side of this issue.

I'm voting Democrat because when someone with a weapon threatens my family or me, I know the government can respond faster through a call to 911 than I can with a gun in my hand.—Again, prolife. And what of the element of surprise? When someone is too scared to think clearly and mistakenly kills someone because they feel threatened.

I'm voting Democrat because oil companies' 5% profit on a gallon of gas are obscene, but government taxes of 18% on the same gallon of gas are just fine.—Again, the internal gas is used for the betterment of America—safer roads, better patrolled roads, etc. Taxes paid to oil companies is used for … oil companies.

I'm voting Democrat because I believe three or four elitist liberals should rewrite the Constitution every few months to suit some fringe element that could never get their agenda past voters.—Definitely not, but our American lives in this century are far different than they were 200 years ago. Of COURSE there need to be updates in order to keep up with the times! To say there is no use for that is to be blind to America’s consistent growth and development.

I'm voting Democrat because illegal aliens are not criminals, are not sucking up resources through government aid, hospital services, education,
or social services, but are just people trying to make a better life by coming to America illegally. We can't blame them for that, can we? –What does Jesus say of aliens? He says to welcome them and to give them shelter. Would you deny safekeeping to a people who were brutally exiled from their countries for such awful reasons as being a young boy? Or a woman? This is a moral issue—NOT a political one.

I'm voting Democrat because the same teacher that didn't teach my child to read can reasonably educate them about sex.—Perhaps if you were more willing to pay better taxes, we could afford to hire better teachers. Also, how silly NOT to educate children on sex—but only once they are an appropriate age. No one is suggesting putting condoms on bananas in 4th grade.

I'm voting Democrat because my trial lawyer's crippling multi-million dollar lawsuits against doctors, hospitals, drug companies, and HMO's will make health insurance and medicine much more affordable.—This doesn’t even make any sense.

I'm voting Democrat because Al Sharpton, Louis Farrakhan, and Jesse Jackson will end racism once and for all.—Of course not, but it won’t hurt to get more people of color in higher offices and show people that COLOR DOESN’T MATTER! As a Christian, I’m sure you believe this.

I'm voting Democrat because Christians in the Republican Party are intolerant, theocratic warmongers and atheists like William Ayers have never hurt anybody.—The problem with Christian intolerance is just that: intolerance. America is made up of a beautiful rainbow of people. There is nothing wrong with expecting respect toward Christianity as long as we offer that same respect to the other religions.

I'm voting Democrat so that no family member of mine will die in a hospital bed. They will still be waiting in line for Obama's socialized medicine, so they will never actually make it into a hospital bed.—Again, this doesn’t even make sense. Universal Health Care would assure that everyone—even your recently-laid-off (due to budget cuts, due to slow economy) nephew won’t have to weigh the cost benefits of going to the hospital for pneumonia when he’s uninsured.

I'm voting Democrat because I like eminent domain and big business and government kicking me out of my home and taking my land.—Definitely not.

I'm voting Democrat because everyone knows that raising taxes at the top won't hurt people at the bottom.—There is a quote I like to think of “I like taxes; with them, I buy civilization.” Taxes have a bad name. why not take a little off our incomes to assure we have the greatest country we can have?

I'm voting Democrat because skin color and good oratory skills are more important than judgment and experience.—If people vote for Obama because he has a black father, that is a problem. Hopefully no one is. Saying he has no judgment simply isn’t true. He has a great deal of compassion for Americans who work hard but continue to get no breaks. These people do exist. I don’t know a single lazy person in this country (I mean, truly lazy).

I'm voting Democrat because protecting barren wasteland is more important than energy indepedence. –Democrats have pushed for energy independence for ages. We’ve found incredible ways to do so (solar power, wind power, water power). Too bad people like you can’t see past our saying “NO” to offshore drilling.

I'm voting Democrat because my college professor told me that America is evil and should give up its place in the world.—Oh, please.

I'm voting Democrat because I believe that Cuba, Russia, and China should be on the United Nations Human Rights Council.—Do you even know what this means?

I'm voting Democrat because I believe that everyone is essentially good -- even people like Ahmadinejad who call for the destruction of Israel. He just needs a little understanding.—Again, why do you push so hard against God’s calling to have good judgement against people? This includes UNDERSTANDING where people are coming from so that we can work past terrible things like what Ahmadinejad has done. Chasing him down and killing him is not the Christian answer.

I'm voting Democrat because we should all be forced to drive ugly cars with the horsepower of a riding lawnmower.—So you’re more concerned about driving a “flashy” pretty car than our “Democratic” energy independence? What hypocrisy.

I am voting Democrat because I believe in change; although I don't know WHAT the change will be, or HOW it will happen, AND I am pretty sure that I won't WANT to actually change anything I do, but still....I believe in change. –This is a joke republicans made up. I don’t know any Obama supporters who don’t know what “change” they’re believing in. We believe in an end to unnecessary war. An end to homelessness in our own country. An end to mismanagement of money in government. So many things that Obama stands for.

I'm voting Democrat because the government knows how to raise children better than parents do.—I didn’t realize that democrats were giving their children to the government. Please, do tell.

I'm voting Democrat because I want the rich to work harder, give me their money, and pay for my services so I don't have to.—There is an imbalance of wealth. Why is it so hard to swallow the concept of taxing people who bring home a billion dollars a year, 1% more than the struggling, working family who makes $25K?

I'm voting Democrat because I don't give to charity or do volunteer work and then I complain about how selfish everyone else is.—I know more democrats who give and volunteer than republicans. Though I also know many republicans who do, as well. I don’t think this is something divided by party, but rather by personality.

I'm voting Democrat because I've seen welfare help so many poor people become self-sufficient and upwardly mobile. –Again, even though I live in a very culturally diverse neighborhood, I’ve never seen anyone being lazy. The people I see work two jobs each and struggle to pay their mortgages on 2-bedroom houses.

I'm voting Democrat because I'm not driven enough to realize my dreams without the government holding my hand the entire way.—Oh? What is YOUR dream?

I'm voting Democrat because I want America to be Europe's prosthetic limb.—In my opinion, an older country like Europe has many lessons to offer us. Why NOT learn from them? This isn’t to say we should become their “prosthetic limb,” but there’s no excuse not to learn from them.

I'm voting Democrat because I think we all should be equal...equally unhappy and unsuccessful.—You know democrats who want to be unhappy and unsuccessful? Huh. Funny. I’ve never met anyone with those goals.

I'm voting Democrat because life just isn't fair and I deserve what other people have without working for it.—Again. Please, show me one legitimate example of this.

I'm voting Democrat because I like hearing the word "Change" 50 million times in presidential debate, seeing the word on celebrities' t-shirts and bags, on signs outside of million dollar houses, and know that the only change that is going to happen is that I'm going to work 40 hours a week and not even see a penny of my paycheck because taxes will go through the roof!!! YAY!!!!—Why are you so scared of change? Do you embrace the hell of the past 8 years? That is frightening.

I'm voting Democrat because Barack Obama is better than you, and he knows it!—this is a joke, so I won’t respond.

I'm voting Democrat because I like how democrats can cause financial crises' like Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac and have the temerity to blame them on Republicans.—IS that what happened? I don’t think so.

I'm voting Democrat because Obama was endorsed by Hamas and terrorists endorsements are a must to achieve world peace.—How twisted is this belief?? Do your research.

I am voting Democrat since I believe those who are lazy, druggies, high school drop outs, etc. should be entitled to the money I wake up every morning and work my ass off to make!—This is redundant.

I'm voting Democrat because fire can't melt steel.--??? I won’t bother with the rest of these because they are also redundant.

I'm voting Democrat because for some reason "change, change, change"..is the mantra for the obama camp...so, since he won't explain what 'change' is...i guess he's asking for parking meter fare?...i have three quarters in my wallet.

Im voting democrat because it's the COOL thing to do. I'm hip and in the majority.

Im voting Democrat because I listen to and believe all the celebrities/actors who so passionately want Obama to win because I can't think for myself at all. The same celebrities who WE make rich because we GO SEE their movies and watch their T.V. shows put millions of dollars into their pockets! but...these multi-million dollar celebs are so disheartened by AMERICAN ways and the capitalistic economy we have and the world will come to and end if another Republican comes into office...hmmmmm...

I'm voting Democrat because I'm a dumbass and because "Hillary said so"

I'm voting Democrat because I won't be subjected to any criteria for meeting U.S. terrorists and having a cool-aid with any of them, and one last critical factor.

I'm voting Democrat because of the War on Terror. We have not been attacked once since Sept. 11, 2001, and that was caused by Bill Clinton, but I still don't feel safe.

I'm voting Democrat because communist economics always work. Look how well off the Soviet Union is right now. That wall in Berlin has never looked better.

I'm voting Democrat because I agree with Joe Biden, that it really is patriotic to pay more taxes. So I'm going to pay a "direct tax." Instead of wasting time giving it to the government for redistribution, I will give my money to derelicts who loiter outside of liquor stores and methadone clinics. That's where it ends up anyway. YES WE CAN ... screw up this country like never before.

I am already stuck at, "some people are thriving on inflated incomes...." Come on. Also ,you go ahead and "think and talk" with the terrorists, let me know how that goes for ya. I am not bitter at those who vote democratic, I have many family members who vote this way. I don't think one of them has ever said I was "bitter." It's called my constitutional right, just like it is yours-as of now anyway. This list was not made by myself, I copied it from another site actually and thought there was truth to it but also some comedy. Also, I am fair and balanced, looking at all the issues and choosing the best man for the job. I also believe God ALREADY knows the outcome and trust in Him alone ultimately.

Thanks for stopping.

You say your Catholic, even though I disagree with alot or maybe even all of there doctrine and rituals... but I also thought they are against abortion... when the guy you voted for voted 91 times against saving human lifes...Doesn't that concern you? Where's the conviction? Where's the conscious? How do we have the odesity to take life when we were not the ones to create it? How selfish have we become, that it's better to kill then to interfear with climbing the corporate latter!!!
God can't Bless our country if we can act so vile and evil
