Shoe tree

Seriously. I wish you could see this tree up close and personal. It's near my cabin and I saw another one the other day! What you might not be able to capture in this pic is that it is full, and I mean FULL, of womens shoes. The guy that lives here threw them all in the tree. The woman he lived with (?) left him one day randomly so he threw all 492 pairs of her (tied) shoes in this tree. In the fall it is really quite lovely-no. Crazy!!! Maybe it's tadition up in them thar parts. Next time Im gonna actually stop closer and take a better pic so you can get the full effect. If you look dead center you can see a couple pairs of tennies. If I did this, all to my shame, the tree would be uprooted.
